U15G are State Cup Runners Up!
The Elm Grove U15 girls team made a spectacular run over the past two weeks that culminated in an excellent state cup finals match against SC Waukesha. Elm Grove started the state cup run beating MKSC 6-0 and beating WI Rush 3-0 during the first weekend. During the second weekend of play Elm Grove completed the opening round sweep by beating the Bavarians 6-0. EGSC was one of only two teams not to allow a goal during the first round. Elm Grove took on Brookfield in the semifinals and jumped out to a 3-0 lead and holding on for a win 3-2.
In the state final game at Time Warner Field the girls battled, but were down 2-0 with under five minutes left to play. Chances were missed by both teams, but EGSC found the back of the next with 2 minutes left to play, but there wasn't enough time left to get the tying goal and lost 1-2 to SC Waukesha. EGSC, the coaches, and parents are very proud of the girls efforts both in play and sportsmanship.
U17G Riley Christensen named to first Under-16 Futsal national team
Youth Futsal announced the sport's inaugural youth national teams on Tuesday – and a Wisconsin girl was one of the 84 players named to the squads.
Waukesha Catholic Memorial's Riley Christensen is one of 14 players chosen for the first Under-16 girls national team.
Players were selected after a National ID Camp last month that featured more than 300 players and was led by Keith Tozer – the former Milwaukee Wave coach is the U.S. Futsal National team coach and the technical director for U.S. Youth Futsal.
Boys and girls national teams were selected for the Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 age groups, with 14 players on each team. The teams will travel to an international event next winter, with Tozer and goalkeeper coach Mark Litton (Racine St. Catherine's/UW-Parkside) leading the sides.
Christensen, who is heading into her junior year at Catholic Memorial, was part of the Crusaders' WIAA Division 3 state championship soccer team in the spring.

UPDATES ON THE FALL 2014 SEASON
U10G Academy: Joe Fricano and Eric Hess are working together to coach the U9/U10 Academy Girls Teams. The Girls Academy teams are having a successful season so far, improving in each game as the season goes on. They have played each team competitively, even the most talented teams they have played, and are working to improve their ball control, and ability to play together as a team. In training and games, discipline, hard work, and making smart decisions are points of emphasis, so that the girls will be ready to play next year at the U11 Select level.
U12G Blues: In my second year working with this team, I am enjoying seeing the benefits of the girls' hard work over the past year and a half. Their movement is more intuitive, their skills are more honed, and their desire to put in the effort required to succeed is more apparent. We will continue to improve technically to finish the chances we are creating, as well as look to bring a new level of sophistication to our game, playing quickly and decisively and transitioning smoothly between offense and defense. I am excited to see what the future holds for these girls on the field.
U13G Blues: The U13s are undefeated in WDA games this season, and we have an overall record of 8 wins 1 loss and 4 ties. The girls won the FC Green Bay Tournament in August.
U14G Blues: Over the past two months of training and tournament play, the U14 girls have shown a positive and determined training attitude. Our last matches showed this with a win and draw over highly ranked teams.
U15G Blues: The U15 girls team completed the WI State Cup Tournament by making it to the finals only to lose a tough match to SC Waukesha 1-2.
Earlier in the season saw the U15 girls play some of the top competition in the midwest by traveling to three tournaments. The U15 girls team is also playing in the Midwest Regional League for the first time and are currently in first place with a 3-0-2 record. There are still a number of MRL and WDA games left to play. The team is also heading out to Washington DC to play in the WAGS College Showcase against: Leesburg FC Blaze (VA), Weston FC 99 Premier Black (FL), and Chantilly SC Storm (VA).
U12B Blues: Won the FC Green Bay Fall Invitational
