U14 Academy capture Chicago Wind Tournament

The U14 Elm Grove Academy/Chicago Fire Boys team won the championship at the Chicago Wind's Danny Cunniff Soccer Classic tournament, played August 26-27 in Highland Park, Illinois.

After starting off slowly with a 3-1 loss to Eclipse Select, they bounced back with three straight wins, including

3-0 over the Chicago Wind Nationals, which is rated the 13th best team in the nation,
2-0 over the Darien dynamo Black, and
3-1 over the Chicago Wind Nationals Black.

The team is coached by Dennis Fadeski.
