Playing five grueling games over the weekend, the girls played outstanding, finishing in second place, losing by a close 1-0 score to the nationally ranked Eclipse Select in the championship game.
Their record was 3-1-1 for the tournament. The semifinal game against Madison 56'ers finished in a 0-0 tie, and went into two 5-minute overtimes. Madison scored 2 minutes into the second overtime, but then the Kixx scored 2 goals in the final 2 minutes of the game!
The team, coached by Shannon Jarboe, scored 16 goals and only allowed 3 for the entire tournament.
