"As part of the 2005 Summer Camp Program, Elm Grove Soccer Club will be hosting a European Football Academy, June 16th - June 18th. This Academy will feature professional Academy Coaches from the storied English side, Liverpool Football Club," Boro explains.
"In terms of player development and the way youth soccer is approached in Wisconsin, this is where our Elm Grove Academy teams differentiate from other clubs. Our vision extends far beyond league titles and state cups. We want to develop players and see them move on to higher levels of play as early as possible. I believe that right here in our backyard, there are local players who possess the qualities needed to play professionally, to represent their country, or even to play at the international level. Through our club's Academy environment, affiliations, and guiding charter, we are uniquely positioned to help these prospects realize the potential of their talent. Our relationship with the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer and commitment to providing regular international opportunities, like this Liverpool Academy, allows our top-class players unprecedented levels of exposure and accessibility to the professional side of the game."
Boro adds, "Philosophically as a club, we are resolved to providing our most talented youth players with opportunities to train under the direction of professional coaches like the Liverpool Academy Staff, as well as with the former professional players and coaches on our own staff roster. Our long term goal is to establish European tournament opportunities, continued training support and a talent identification process."
