Brookfield Central Girls Capture Third Straight WIAA State Title

Lancers Keep Dynasty Alive

BCHS players Tara Schwartz and Marti Desjarlais celebrate a score

The EGSC salutes the Brookfield Central High School girls soccer team for their 2004 WIAA Division 1 State Championship, won in convincing fashion with a 7-0 victory over Cedarburg. The championship is the third straght D1 title for the Lancers. After a slow start to their season with a 1-3-1 record (injuries, youth, etc.), the girls ripped off 21 straight wins and rolled through the state tournament, finishing with a 22-3-1 record and that huge trophy.

Being part of the Elmbrook School District, many boys and girls who are members of the EGSC also play soccer for Brookfield Central and East High Schools. The EGSC is proud to be able to contribute to the success of these local schools.

Congratulations to the Lancers. Well done girls!
