Takariwa Joins EGSC Pro Coaching Staff, Boys U14 Academy Team

Digital Takawira Boro Sucevic and the EGSC are proud to announce the addition of Vitalis "Digital" Takawira to the club's Pro Coaching Staff.

Digital currently plays professionally with the Milwaukee Wave United, in its inaugural campaign in 2004. Prior to the Wave United team, Digital played three seasons with Sucevic's Milwaukee Rampage team.

In 2002 he led the Rampage in scoring with 26 points in 22 games played. In 2001 he was the leading scorer for the Rampage collecting 30 points on 13 goals and four assists, fifth on the league scoring list, garnishing All-League Second Team honors. Back in 2000, Digital scored 42 points on 16 goals and 10 assists, earning him League Co-Scoring Champion honors and the A-League MVP award.

Prior to his Milwaukee tour, Digital also played four seasons with the Kansas City Wizard's of Major League Soccer (MLS). He was a two-time MLS All-Star forward and is the Wizards' third all-time leading scorer with 75 points on 28 goals and 19 assists, in 103 games. He was born on 9/24/1972 in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was also a member of the Zimbabwe National Team.

Digital's primary coaching responsibility will be the club's Boys U14 Academy team. In addition, Digital will also coach the Girls U13 Select team working with Danny Madrigal.
