Steve Lawrence –
EGSC STAFF COACH
Elm Grove Staff Coach
for 3 years, Coach Lawrence is entering his sixth year as Head Coach of the
Marquette University High School soccer program. He has an overall record
of 98-19-8, won the WIAA Div. I State Championships in 2008 and 2010, WIAA
State Runner-up in 2007,
and Sectional Champions from 2006-2010. In 2008, he led MUHS to a NSCAA
High School Final Ranking of #7, and was named the Journal-Sentinel Coach of the
year. In 2010 his team finished #18 Nationally by the NSCAA. Over
Coach Lawrence’s first five years at MUHS he has helped develop 3 High School
All-Americans, and has seen 20 of his players move on to the collegiate level to
play soccer. As a player Coach Lawrence won 2 State Championships at MUHS,
played four years at Marquette University where
he was captain for 2 years, and in his Senior season led MU to a Conference
Championship and was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Year. He also
played two years of professional soccer with the Milwaukee Wave United of the
A-League. Coach Lawrence has his USSF National “D” Coaching License.
