Recreational Soccer Program

Teams

EGSC's recreational soccer program is comprised of both boys and girls teams, from U6 through U14. Boys rec teams are formed at the U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U12 and U14 age levels. Girls rec teams are formed at the U6, U8, U10, U12 and U14 age levels.

Leagues

U6, U7 and U8 teams play "micro-soccer", which is 3v3 or 4v4 played on small fields with small goals. All EGSC U6, U7 and U8 teams practice and play within Elm Grove, in a self-contained EGSC rec league.

EGSC teams at U9 and above play in the Pilgrim Road Soccer League (PRSL), which includes teams from the neighboring communities of Sussex and Menomonee Falls. About half of these team's games are played in Elm Grove, and the others are road games to these nearby communities. For the U12 and U14 age groups, teams from Brookfield also participate in the PRSL.

Playing Seasons

The recreational league playing season begins after Labor Day, takes a break for winter, resumes in early spring and ends with the Memorial Day Tournament in late May. Games are played on Saturdays, generally between 8:00am and 2:00pm, and last about one hour. There is usually one mid-week game scheduled each season.

Practices

Practices are held on weekday evenings at the Elm Grove Village Park, and other area schools and churches. Recreational teams are limited to one practice per week during the playing season. The location and day/time of the practice is up to the coach.
