Mike Huwiler

Mike Huwiler - Prepped at Marquette University HS where he led his team to the WISAA State Championship in 1989, Michael played on the US National Teams at U15, U18, and U20 and was Co-Captain on the U18 & U20 Teams. Played on the 1992 US Olympic Team in Barcelona where he got excellent reviews and was named one of the top players in Barcelona. Played at the University of Virginia where he helped his team win two NCAA Championships in 1991 & 1992. Played professionally with the Richmond Kickers and was a USISL All-Star, Atlanta Ruckus , and with DC United and won the MLS Championship in 1996, went on to play with the Milwaukee Rampage in 1997 & 1998 and won the A-League Championship, he finished his playing career with the Milwaukee Bavarians where he helped them win a US Amateur Championship in 2001. Coach Huwiler was the Head Coach at MATC in 1998 – 1999, JV Coach at MUHS from 2000 – 2006 and has been with EGSC since 2004. Coach Huwiler has his USSF “C” License. Coach Huwiler and the U17 Boys team currently won the DOUBLE, capturing the State Cup and 1st place in the WYSA Boys Premier Division of the State League, went to the Midwest Regionals in Sioux Falls, SD and has brought his EGSC teams to the Midwest Regionals two consecutive years.
